２学期の始業式がおこなわれました。感染対策のため放送で行い，生徒は教室です。生徒の表彰，校長先生の式辞，そして，新しくＡＬＴとして来日されたエシュリン先生の自己紹介も行われました。今週はいよいよ「龍門祭」。体育祭から行われます。２学期も充実した学期にしていきましょう。

My name is Eshlin Vedan and I am the new ALT based here at Kajiki High School. I am from a place called Durban in South Africa.

Before coming to Japan, I worked as a sports Journalist in South Africa for over five years. I love sports, music and learning about new cultures. One of the reasons that I wanted to come to Japan was to learn more about the way that the society operates and progresses as Japan is one of the most advanced nations in the world. South Africa can learn a lot from it.

Being an English language Journalist, I love the English language and this was a reason why I found the opportunity to work as an ALT exciting. I hope to use my skills to help everyone in whatever way I can and commend everyone for attempting to get better at English. English is not an easy language to learn as it has no distinct rules. It takes very dedicated and strong people to attempt it.

I also believe that there are lessons to learn from everyone that we interact with and hope to learn something from everyone that I interact with while I am at Kajiki High School.
